A Weekend You Are Not Going To Want To Miss!

Marriage today requires that both husband and wife are U.N.I.T.E.D. in their relationship.
Knowing this, couples must be committed to working together to bring that unity.  The enemy will try to do his best to divide, but we know that we are Victorious in Jesus Christ.  During this second Symposium, we will break down the letters of UNITED and see what we must do to ‘BE ONE’ as the Word of God has called us to be.

U = “Unconditional”
What is unique about being unconditional is it is not based on situation or circumstance.  Things could be going well in your relationship.  Or you may be experiencing difficult times.  When two people love each other according to God’s love, that love remains the same at all times.  God’s love is unconditional.  It never waives.  It never stops. It is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  That is the unconditional love a husband and wife must have for one another.

N – “Navigating”
Navigation is the science of directing something by determining its position, course, and distance traveled. Navigation is concerned with finding the way to the desired destination, avoiding collisions, conserving fuel, and meeting schedules.  Navigators use the stars as a reference point to find where they are, so they can determine how to get where they want to be.  Married couples need to learn how to navigate by using the Word of God to chart their course in marriage.  We are here; this is where we strive to be.  Father God, show us the way.

I = “Integrity”
What does the Bible say about integrity?  Having integrity is similar to having good character, but goes beyond good character in that it is defined as incorruptible, sound, complete or undivided. Integrity is the encapsulation of having good character that is unwavering and consistent. For married couples, as we continue on in our walk with Christ we should see our integrity increase as evidence of our spiritual transformation and growth.  When our character is as that of the Lord God Almighty, there is no weapon that can divide a husband and wife.

T – “Trust”
In the complex dance of human connection, relationships, and especially in marriages thrive on elements of trust.  Trust is the bedrock of healthy relationships, an intricate weave of reliability, transparency, and vulnerability. It’s the belief in the integrity of another, founded on consistent actions and open communication. When trust is hurt or even lost, relationships flounder, or even fail.  Both husband and wife’s ultimate trust must first be in God.  As we learn to trust God, He teaches us to trust each other.

E = “Everlasting”
What is everlasting love?  This has been defined by so many, in so many different ways.  For so many, it is a fantasy, and unattainable.  We see the movies or novels trying to explain it.  But God’s everlasting love is so far beyond what the world can explain.  For God’s love never ends.  It was, and it, and will always be.  Why?  Because God is love.  And He never changes.  In marriage, we must look at everlasting love through the eyes of God, in how He see it.  One that will last forever.

D = “Development”
I’m sure you’ve heard that marriage is work.  And in order to maintain your marriage at the highest level, you must develop it.  Marriage is a journey where two lives blend together, each bringing their unique experiences, dreams, and challenges.  The “two becoming one” must have a game plan for their marriage.  How do we see our marriage?  What do we want our marriage to be?  What is the game plan to getting their?  What matrix do we have in place to measure our progress?  And what regular  maintenance do we do to keep things fine-tuned?
